Important Message regarding school COVID-19 from Ms. Perry:

In response to current national events, PWCS is currently closed. In response, effective on Monday, I will begin working virtually through our Teams page. We will be continuing to make connections on our unit on Westward Expansion (VA SOL Standards USI.6 and USI.7). All work and exams are currently on hold. I will be offering help through Teams and Email until we return to school.

Parents, currently your child has completed (and been assessed) on SOL Standards USI.1 through USI.5 over the course of the year. USI.6 and USI.7 are addressed in Chapter 7 of their textbook (online access instructions are provided below). We will be looking to complete this unit in the near future.

Quarter 4 will be our unit on the Civil War, which stands as SOL Standard USI.8. Your child has had light foreshadowing to this unit, but we have not begun this unit.

Please be aware that NO work is being required at this time. I will work with you any way I can, but please be aware that nothing is being graded at this point. The best thing you can do at this time is continue to read. Read our textbook, read a book for Language Arts, read a comic book, anything that interests you!

Keep an eye on this page and our class teams page for class assistance. Also, check our the link on the left hand-side of this page - I have attached links for continuing education and all of our activities we have done so far in class, to help with review. As always, please email me with any questions you may have (student or parent).

If you are not sure what the SOL standards are/what they mean, rearing the information we have learned so far, please check out the pacing guide on my "files and documents" link on the left side of this page, or use this link: https://bevillems.pwcs.edu/cms/One.aspx?portalId=412829&pageId=36501894

I miss you all, and look forward to getting back as soon as possible. Please adhere to all CDC and VA Department of Heath requests. Stay home, stay safe.
