Challenge:  Try to use fractions, decimals, and percentages in your everyday life.  Examples could be recipes, money, make a budget, check your cell phone charging and anything else you can think of.  Next week we will be doing word problems with these skills.

ACTIVITY

 Go virtual shopping and calculate how much money you have spent.  Determine change when paying      with a $100 bill (hopefully you have enough).  Make a recipe that uses fractions.

  Have Fun!!!

Describe decimals to a family member.

Create a circle graph shading .25 red, .25 blue and .50 yellow ( or use the colors of your choice).

ACTIVITY
Go virtual shopping and compare unit rates for different products, for example potato chips VS Doritos, hotdogs VS lunch meat. Remember to compare the same amount by weight so you have to look at the package closely. Have Fun!!!

Hello Students,

 I miss you all and I hope you are safe and healthy. 

 Each Monday you should expect an email from me outlining the week’s instruction and topic.

Every Tuesday from 9:00am – 10:30am will be our Math Instructional Time.

  • This will include:

Every Thursday from 12:00pm – 1:30pm will be my Math Office Hours.

  • This means I will be available on Teams to review worksheet/activity answers, chat and answer any questions about Tuesday’s mini lesson and work that you may have.

This week we will be reviewing Ratios! I will be attaching optional worksheets that you can print OR simply write your answers on a piece of paper.  I will start Tuesday’s Team meeting at 9:00 am and the mini lesson will officially begin at 9:30 am. 

You can join the Team meeting by RSVP to the Event by checking yes Mrs. Griggs Small Group Math Class.  Please continue to email me at any time with questions.
