Find out about Naglieri Testing for 6th grade students at Beville Middle School

Dear 6th Grade Parents,

Information about the Naglieri Nonverbal Ability Test – 3rd Edition (NNAT3) being administered to sixth grade students in Prince William County Public Schools was recently sent out.  NNAT3 testing will take place at Beville Middle over the course of next two weeks.  As much of this testing takes place during school days, sixth grade students will not have normal Zoom classes on February 9, 12, and 17, but will instead have asynchronous lessons.

Due to the short nature of this test, transportation will not be provided.   Please make arrangements to drop your student off, at the designated time, using the bus loop in the front of the building.  Please allow one hour for students to complete the test before returning to pick up your child.

Please bring your school issued device with you as that is the device you will use to test.  If you have not yet exchanged your device for the newer model, or picked up your device for the first time, one will be issued to you at this time.

The best way to prepare your student for this test is to simply encourage them to do their best. When results are available, a copy of your student’s scores will be sent to you.

At-Home Health Check:

On the day your child is scheduled to test, please check your student for these symptoms:

  • Temperature of 100.4 degrees or higher when taken by mouth;
  • Sore throat;
  • NEW uncontrolled cough that causes difficulty breathing (for students with chronic allergic/asthmatic cough, a change in their cough from baseline);
  • Diarrhea, vomiting, or abdominal pain;
  • New onset of severe headache, especially with a fever.
  • Had close contact (within 6 feet for a total of 15 minutes or more) with a person with confirmed COVID-19

If the student or care giver can answer YES to any of the items listed above, the student should STAY HOME.  We will be happy to reschedule your child’s opportunity to come into the building and take the Naglieri Noverbal Ability Test at another time and day.
